If you’ve taken a Wilderness Medicine Class, then you know how to take care of yourself or someone else when a medical emergency occurs in the wilderness. The next question should be, “Can I take care of myself if I have to spend an unplanned night in the backcountry?”. If you have to think about that answer, then come learn how to safely spend the night in the back country when an emergency occurs. This two-day course will focus on the critical skills needed to remain overnight with minimal gear. It is designed for everyone who spends time in the backcountry. When you go out for a "Day Trip", do you carry the bare essentials in your pack to remain overnight for 24, 48, or 72 hours? This course will teach you how to meet those needs and give you the confidence to safely recreate in remote areas.
