Wilderness Module
The SOLO Schools Wilderness Module is a five-day bridge course designed for urban healthcare professionals looking to develop specialized skills in backcountry emergency care.
This street-to-backcountry bridge course is tailored for licensed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), and Paramedics building on their urban medical expertise while integrating wilderness-specific training.
Upon successful completion, this course upgrades certified:
EMTs and Paramedics to Wilderness EMT (WEMT)
EMRs to Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
Students will learn to improvise with available materials and adapt when standard medical tools are unavailable, equipping them with essential skills for providing medical care in remote environments.
The curriculum focuses on delivering emergency care in remote settings where access to definitive medical treatment is delayed due to distance, time, or environmental challenges.
