The AWFA course goes into greater depth than the WFA on the basic first aid subjects. The course emphasizes leadership skills and presents new skills such as litter packaging and traction splinting. The AWFA Part II curriculum consists of the last two days of an AWFA and certifies 'current' WFA's to the AWFA level. The prerequisite for taking an AWFA Part II is current SOLO WFA certification that has not expired beyond the first year of the 2 year period.
